We’re building a growing set of programs for children, families, and adults. Some are in development, and some are already being proposed with community partners. Every one of them shows its current status.
Fifteen program areas, each at a different stage. Open any one to see what we’re actually doing about it — whether that’s drafting curriculum, sourcing equipment, looking for a host, or waiting on funding.
AI & Coding Classes
In developmentAI literacy, coding, prompt design, automation, and practical technology skills. What we’re working on
The Academy curriculum is the furthest along of anything we have written. The first track is drafted; the later two are outlines.
No host site is confirmed yet, so there is nothing to schedule.
Instructors have not been recruited, and we will not run a class without one.
The interest list is not open yet, so we can't yet tell how much demand there is.
Robotics & Hands-On STEM
In developmentRobotics, electronics, sensors, engineering challenges, and physical computing. What we’re working on
The kit list is written. Nothing has been purchased.
Cost per kit is the open question, and it is why this one is waiting on funding rather than on ideas.
Sessions need somewhere to store equipment between weeks, which most rooms don't offer.
Grant applications are on hold until the 501(c)(3) determination comes through.
Kids Technology Clubs
In designRecurring after-school or weekend clubs where students build at their own pace. What we’re working on
The format is still open: a recurring club, or a short fixed series.
It depends on a host partner who can offer the same room on the same day each week.
Volunteers to supervise have not been recruited.
No dates, because both of the above come first.
Adult AI & Technology Classes
Being scopedPractical sessions for parents, professionals, seniors, and small-business owners. What we’re working on
Parents, seniors, and small-business owners want different things, so this may need to split into separate sessions.
Session length and pace are the main undecided questions.
Part of the material can be reused from the Academy's first track, which saves work.
No venue conversations have started.
Family Learning Workshops
Being scopedParents and children learning together — AI basics, robotics, digital creativity. What we’re working on
The format assumes an adult and a child working on one thing together. That works on paper; it hasn't been tested in a room.
The right age band is not settled.
Needs a space that can seat families rather than rows of students.
No dates.
One-Off Community Workshops
PlannedShort sessions on a single topic for people who cannot commit to a full course. What we’re working on
This is the lightest format we have, and likely the first thing that can actually run.
A topic list is being drafted.
It needs a room for a single session and little else.
Volunteers not yet recruited.
Summer & School-Break Programs
Seeking a hostMini-camps, project weeks, and school-break workshops.What we’re working on
Timing is fixed by the school calendar, so this is seasonal by nature.
Looking for a host with space available during break weeks.
The staffing model isn't decided: multi-day programs need more adults than a weekly class.
Materials budget depends on grant funding that isn't in place.
AI for Small Business & Community Organizations
ResearchingResponsible AI and automation for local businesses and nonprofits. What we’re working on
Still finding out what local businesses and nonprofits actually need, rather than assuming.
No curriculum written yet.
Would likely run as a workshop series rather than a course.
A chamber of commerce or business association would be the natural partner.
Digital Skills & Technology Basics
ResearchingComputers, online tools, productivity, cybersecurity awareness, and digital confidence. What we’re working on
Overlaps with the adult classes, and where the line falls between them isn't decided.
Researching the right starting level — too basic is as unhelpful as too advanced.
Devices are the real constraint. Loaner hardware would be needed, and we don't have any.
No venue.
Maker & Builder Sessions
Sourcing equipmentOpen project sessions with access to mentors, tools, and shared resources. What we’re working on
Open sessions where people bring their own projects and use shared tools.
Needs tools, secure storage, and supervision. None of the three is secured.
Sourcing options are being looked at.
Makers willing to supervise have not been found yet.
Guest Speakers & Career Exploration
Recruiting volunteersConversations with practitioners about how technology is used in the real world. What we’re working on
This runs entirely on people willing to give an hour. There is no other cost.
Outreach to potential speakers has not started.
Would work with almost no budget, which makes it a candidate to run early.
In-person or recorded is undecided.
Mentorship & Project Support
In designGuidance for students building projects or preparing for competitions. What we’re working on
The model is being drafted: drop-in help, or an ongoing pairing.
Needs mentors with technical backgrounds, and we have none yet.
Safeguarding and supervision rules have to be settled before this one runs at all.
No applications open.
Hackathons & Community Build Days
Seeking a hostTeam-based events where participants build prototypes and learn by doing. What we’re working on
The largest thing on this list — venue, judges, food, prizes, and a full day of adults.
Looking for a host and for sponsors to cover it.
Not realistic until there are enough volunteers to staff an event this size.
No dates.
Educator & Parent Workshops
Being scopedUnderstanding AI, online safety, and supporting children as technology changes. What we’re working on
An outline is drafted around AI basics, online safety, and how to support a child using these tools.
Would be delivered with a school or library rather than by us alone.
No partner conversations have started.
Timing likely follows a school term.
Future Programs
PlannedCybersecurity, 3D design, drones, data science, financial literacy, healthcare technology, and entrepreneurship — based on community interest. What we’re working on
This list is deliberately open, and nothing on it is being built yet.
Additions will be driven by what the community actually asks for.
The interest list will shape which of these come first.
Everything above this row has to happen first.
None of these is open for registration and none has a date. The status on each card is where things stand today, and we’ll change it as soon as it stops being accurate.
There’s nothing to register for just yet
We’re still building. Join the interest list and you’ll be the first to know when the first program opens — that will be the first thing we announce.
